Overview:  Point is a key role responsible for assisting management in overseeing stationary and floor positions and helping to ensure smooth operations during events. This role involves coordinating with Management, helping to oversee safety and liability concerns, and maintaining high standards of customer service. Point acts as a proxy for Event Managers, facilitating communication and helping ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with the Manager on duty at the beginning of each shift to gather event-specific information and distribute necessary equipment (keys, radios, credential sheets).
  • Assist management in preparing the venue for opening, ensuring all stationary positions are set and ready.
  • Help manage the flow of guests into the venue as necessary, assist in security situations, and fill in gaps as needed.
  • Offer and delegate bathroom breaks for stationary employees, ensuring continuous coverage.
  • Coordinate end-of-show tasks with management, including taking down barricades, sweeping the floor, and managing trash disposal.
  • Collect and return all distributed keys and radios at the end of the event, and communicate any pertinent information to management.
  • Assist in emergency situations by ensuring staff follow emergency protocols calmly and safely.
  • Help lead the Floor staff in various activities, maintaining safety and professionalism while minimizing negative impact on patrons’ enjoyment.

Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience working Doors and all Stationary positions for First Avenue venues.
  • Knowledge of safety and liability protocols.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Training in emergency response procedures is a plus.
