Clyde Iron Works was a steel foundry and state-of-the-art manufacturer of heavy machinery for the logging, construction, ship building and material handling industries. Clyde equipment was instrumental to such internationally known projects as the Panama Canal, Golden Gate Bridge, Boulder Dam, Empire State Building, Radio City Music Hall, and New York’s original subway system.
Though its manufacturing era is now an historic memory, Clyde stands proudly in the heart of Duluth’s Lincoln Park district as a significant reminder of Duluth’s industrial age. Clyde’s commanding presence calls attention to honor and celebrate the American worker – and the days when gathering for a meal was an event for all. Today Clyde Iron Works Restaurant & Bar and Event Center is 36,000 square feet of active gathering space for dining and enjoyment.
