Monday: C-Note Midwest Player Tour
Minneapolis rapper C-Note – short for Cerious Note, and a reference the one hundred dollar bill – is looking to change the hip hop game and leave a legacy. C-note has been active in the Minneapolis hip hop community since high school, but got serious (cerious?) in 2009, leading up to the drop of his first mixtape in 2011. Since then, C-Note has dropped several mixtapes and has begun touring extensively. His debut EP 612 Celebrity was released in February of this year and is he now on the Midwest Player Tour in support of the release.

Tuesday: Lukas Nelson & P.O.T.R.
When Lukas Nelson & P.O.T.R. play, it’s exciting, visceral and – above all – real. Their authenticity comes from a bond forged of brotherhood, honesty and music. Lukas Nelson & P.O.T.R. (Promise Of The Real) are currently wrapping up writing and recording new music for their next not-yet-titled album, which will be the gritty rock group’s third full-length release. The new material was made in the heart of Topanga Canyon, an artistic and rural enclave for creative types just five minutes from the Pacific Ocean with a deep musical history. “Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, Jim Morrison, Hendrix, and so many others spent time in Topanga and made their musical mark up there, so it would be nice to know that we could put our musical mark there as well. Topanga was also the first place I really hung out when I moved to L.A. after college, so it holds a special place in my heart,” says Nelson.

Wednesday: Lord Montague
Lord Montague is a blues influenced heavy rock band that formed in Minneapolis, MN in early 2013, but this will be their first time performing in the 7th St Entry. Fellow locals The Missing Numbers and Electric Moral will be opening the show.

Thursday: Richie Ramone
Known as the fastest, most powerful drummer to ever play with the legendary punk rock band the Ramones. Richie is especially notable as the only drummer to sing lead vocals on “(You) Can’t Say Anything Nice” and the only drummer to be the sole composer a song, including their hit, “Somebody Put Something In My Drink.” In 2007, Richie introduced his virtuosic drumming to the symphonic world with his “Suite for Drums Orchestra” based on Leonard Bernstein’s West Side Story. He is currently working on another “Suite for Drums and Orchestra” with classic James Bond movie songs. In 2013, Richie released his first solo album Entitled which aims to appeal to both rock and metal-heads with it’s blend of power chord-chugging, and guitar brilliance.

Saturday: Tommy Keene
After nearly thirty years in the music business, you might expect someone like Tommy Keene to start slowing down. In fact, Keene is like an athlete rediscovering his prime. In 2011, after the release of a retrospective collection that seemed to be the end of his career, Keene released arguably his best record Behind the Parade. With his latest 2013 release, Excitement at Your Feet, Keene reaffirmed his pop proficiency and aptitude for crafting hot hooks, irresistible refrains, and vibrant melodies that evoke a ’60s sensibility, reminiscent of the Beatles, Byrds and Beach Boys.

Sunday: The Eastern Sea | Wild Moccasins
Born as a bedroom project of Matthew Hines in 2005, Austin indie rockers The Eastern Sea quickly developed into a live band. Between 2008 and 2009 the band released two EPs, attracting national press and a pair of national tours. Now, The Eastern Sea is known for their autobiographical songs featuring themes of change, transition, and powerlessness, bedded with melodic bass, shimmering keys and expressive trumpet. Joining them in the Entry is the peripatetic pop troupe Wild Moccasins. While The Eastern Sea prefers to process the hardship in their songs, Wild Moccasins specialize in escapism. With a rapturous and energized sound, Wild Moccasins bring you into the present, allowing you to live in the moment and enjoy your time on the dancefloor.
