Paul Spring is an independent singer-songwriter from St. Cloud, MN and based out of Minneapolis. With his band, he writes, performs, and records a unique combination of lyric-driven folk and melodic rock. Spring’s poetic writing style and unmistakable voice are at the center of his high-energy shows and his self-titled debut album (2012).
The Amendments is a group of musicians that perform and play with one another under the umbrella of Atlas Grove Productions. Atlas Grove is a collective that seeks to openly connect artists from all avenues, to stimulate creative growth.
WEDNESDAY: GUERILLA TOSS
It’s been just two months since Guerilla Toss last hit the road, trampling across the country inciting hippie-mosh love fests with their electrifying hard, weird rock noise roll. Is it their steadfast dedication to the underground cause that keeps them on the road with such vigor? Are they simply addicted to stirring up shit and leaving people flustered by their live shows and sick sick records? Maybe they’re compelled to spread the good word of Boston, believing that as the keepers of such unfettered, gnarly grooves it is their duty to do so. Who’s to say? They might just be tapped. THURSDAY: RUN BOY RUN
The unique sound of Run Boy Run is rooted in the traditional music of the Appalachian South. Run Boy Run continues this journey into music that is dynamic, orchestral, and overflowing with beauty. Run Boy Run exists in the tension between tradition and frontier. Three strong female voices weave a spectacular tapestry of sound. Award-winning fiddle cuts a path for a tightly formed rhythmic front. Every arrangement is – at it’s core – beautiful.
From winning the band contest at Pickin’ in the Pines in the first weeks of forming in 2009 to playing on stage at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival as band contest winners in 2012 to making a second appearance on A Prairie Home Companion in St. Paul in 2013, Run Boy Run is spreading this special brand of music to all who would hear. With the release of the full length album So Sang the Whippoorwill in March of 2013, Run Boy Run is making more people dance, cry, and sing than ever.

FRIDAY: DANIEL ELLSWORTH & THE GREAT LAKES
The Band: Nashville-based indie rockers Daniel Ellsworth and the Great Lakes
The Song: “Tourniquet,” a track from the band’s sophomore album Kid Tiger
Fun fact: Singer Daniel Ellsworth was a contestant on the third season of NBC’s The Sing-Off. On the show, Ellsworth was part of an a cappella group called The Collective, which was formed by nine Nashville artists.
Sounds like: A dancey indie-pop track that’s about to top your “most played” list.
Songwriter says: “‘Tourniquet’ was written when a lot of people around us were going through relationships that were falling apart. It’s about someone in the relationship trying to hold on, when the other person realizes that there’s nothing left to fight for. Maybe their aspirations got in the way of the relationship, maybe – after all the trying, fighting, crying, and yelling – they just weren’t meant for each other. It’s about someone finally saying, ‘Look, I give up.’ So, you know… a happy song.” [American Songwriter]

Kind Red Spirits are an American rock and roll band based out of Minneapolis. Band dynamics range from slow building ballads to high energy punk rock. The Kind Red Spirits are very chameleon like in their ability to adopt many genres of music including folk, grunge and soul.
