Wednesday: Motley 2 | Appetite for Zaccardi – Tribute Bands
Motley 2: The World’s Greatest and ONLY tribute to the EARLY Days of Mötley Crüe! The only tribute that will take you back through time to enjoy the early days where The Crüe ruled the world. Founder Darryl Strucke started Mötley 2 when he left another tribute because his vision was to strictly adhere to the early days of Mötley Crüe with all the stage attitude, full costumes, and perfect sound to bring audiences back in time with the PERFECT show!
Appetite for Zaccardi: When Tony wants to play Guns N’ Roses songs, this is how he does it. No top hats, no wigs. Just 5 dudes who crush these jams. Look out. Band members include Tony Zaccardi, Reed Wilkerson, Brent Hanson, Brent Hedtke, Jeff “JJ” Johnson.
Thursday: Kid Dakota | Fathom Lane
Kid Dakota: Kid Dakota is the musical moniker of Darren Jackson. He started performing as “Kid Dakota and the Tumbleweeds” in 1998 while living in Providence, Rhode Island. In the summer of 1999, Darren recorded the five songs that would appear on the So Pretty EP with long-time friend and producer, Alex Oana, at City Cabin (formerly Blackberry Way). Darren moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota that winter and self-released the So Pretty EP in the spring of 2000. His most recent album is Listen to the Crows as They Take Flight.
Fathom Lane: Over the span of two critically acclaimed full length albums (2013’s Fathom Lane and 2012’s Down By Half) Fathom Lane has been getting international attention for their wonderfully indefinable sound. The blend of Ferrier’s steady and simple tenor with fellow singer Ashleigh Still’s more mellifluous soul is a main feature of the rich sound Fathom Lane brews; the band invite their listeners in and then delight them with audio surprises.
Friday: No Funeral
No Funeral are a sludge, doom band from Minneapolis, MN formed in 2011. Hate, misery and disdain for the day to day shit have molded No Funerals songs into a soundtrack for loathsome scum.
Saturday: Sidewalk Chalk
Sidewalk Chalk continues to lead the contemporary evolution of hip-hop, soul, and jazz. The band’s third album, Shoulder Season, is compiled from seven live performances across the US. It’s title signifies transition, a time in between two places, a feeling of expectation for what is to come. The group has shared stages with ?uestlove, De La Soul, Action Bronson, Jean Grae, Hiatus Kaiyote and other notables. Sidewalk Chalk is: Rico Sisney (MC), Maggie Vagle (Vocals), Charlie Coffeen (Keys), Josh Rosen (Bass), Xavier Breaker (Drums), Jumaane Taylor (Taps), Sam Trump (Trumpet), and David Ben-Porat (Trombone).
Sunday: Jazz Brunch with James Buckley Trio
Sunday morning jazz with a side of French toast? We thought it was a good idea, too. The James Buckley Trio take the stage so you can bebop your way through breakfast. The Turf Club opens for bunch at 10:00am (All Ages event | No Cover).
