The Replacements’ bio on nbc.com/the-tonight-show:
THE REPLACEMENTS is an alternative rock band from the 1980s. Originally comprised of members Paul Westerberg, Tommy Stinson, Bob Stinson and Chris Mars, the band released seven albums, most notably 1984’s Let It Be and 1985’s Tim, from 1981 to 1990. The group disbanded a year later. In 2012, Paul Westerberg and Tommy Stinson reunited and began performing as the Replacements again. Their appearance on The Tonight Show marks the band’s return to 30 Rock after being banned from SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE following a drunken performance on live TV in 1986.
