Zac Clark

Since leaving Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness after years of sold out shows with the likes of Weezer, Billy Joel, Panic! At The Disco and more, Zac Clark’s been hailed by Rolling Stone for his own “classic pop progressions” & “stirring melodies.” After solo tours supporting McMahon, Allen Stone, Guster and Augustana, he returns, mid-apocalypse, with his first new music since 2018’s self-titled LP.

Playing nearly every instrument himself while locked down at home alone in Nashville this spring, Clark also remotely collaborated with other dear friends isolated in their homes during global quarantine amid cancelled tours, making the most out of a strange moment with arguably the most energetic and upbeat music of his career.

The new batch features contributions from Andrew McMahon (Jack’s Mannequin/Something Corporate), Marc Walloch (Beck, AWOLNATION), Ian O’Neill (Lady A), Sam Smith (Ben Folds), Jon Lampley (Colbert Report, OAR), Joe Pisapia (Guster), and Dan Layus (Augustana), and the first single and its title explore the notion that there’s something divinely bright in even the most dire of situations; that we can come together even while worlds apart gives us the ability to withstand more than we could imagine.
