YE YE POW

Yé-yé was a style of pop music that emerged from France in the early 1960's. The term yé -yé derived from yeah yeah! The yé-yé movement featured young singer/songwriters such as Françoise Hardy, Jacques Dutronc and Serge Gainsbourg. Twin Cities band Stephanie Says had been including some of these songs, along with originals in their set. Singer/songwriter Stephanie's love of these French singers and their songs was so great that she decided to start a tribute band along with boyfriend/bass player Paul McFarland, and friends guitarist Terry Isachsen, drummer Steve Kent, and keyboardist Pete Christensen.
