Mizay Entertainment protégé Wooh Da Kid has been on his grind for the past 2 years, but it wasn’t until his latest mixtape installment Black Out hosted by DJ Holiday that packed enough lyrical fire and verbal assaults to make even the harshest Rap critic take notice and salute. As a member of one of the hottest movements in Hip Hop, 1017 Brick Squad (Waka Flocka Flame, Frenchie, Gucci Mane), Wooh Da Kid’s slow yet steady climb to success has been paved by guest stints on his affiliate’s albums such as Gucci Mane (“Volume”, The State Vs Radric Davis) and a series of mixtapes including the 2009 Gucci-certified “must download” Pressure presented by Trap-A-Holics and DJ Holiday. With top-tier production heat coming in the form of Drumma Boy, Southside and Zaytoven, the 23-track classic exemplified his formula for keeping the block banging. Both mixtapes deserve kudos for applying a range of styles and features, while remaining true to Wooh Da Kid’s artistic and personal integrity.

Wooh Da Kid, who was given his nickname when he was only 2 years old, was born in Queens, NY but primarily raised in South Atlanta, GA, which is where he became caught between the streets and music. Ultimately choosing a lifestyle that put him behind the mic instead of bars, the 25 year-old MC has been going in full throttle every opportunity he has gotten. “I started at the bottom and worked my way up,” he explains. “Everybody’s got their time and right now, I believe I’m next up.” The skilled underdog with the “crazy wordplay” is finally becoming the one to watch at Mizay Entertainment, the music management home of other talented artists including brother Waka Flocka Flame, French Montana, Cartier Kitten, Muff Mommy, Cartel, Kebo Gotti and Haitian Fresh, to name only a few. “Everybody in my camp has a different lane; no two artists are alike. Some of us might talk about similar things but we all have our own way of putting it to music.” Known for his snappy punch lines and iced-out mentality, Wooh Da Kid is headed to the top. His single “No Romance” produced by management-mate Lex Luger (Rick Ross, Kanye West, Fabolous), is bubbling on the underground circuit, which is a solid showcase of his growth and ambition. Giving a fresh voice to the hood, Wooh Da Kid’s superstar status is all but solidified. “I bring a little bit of everything to the game. I’ve been making a lot of power moves on the low and I’ve been plotting my career like I’m playing a game of chess.” And with his proven track record, he’ll be crowned king in no time.
