Equal parts Minnesotan music scene veteran and Laurel Canyon devotee, Willie Wisely remains that rare bird mixing profound power pop with vaudevillian showmanship, a troubadour on an all night rave up, a cold Komboucha on a hot California day, a McCartney-ite taking a break from his Japanese import of Ram for a quick Canyon run listening to João Gilberto.
In his four decades of music making and crowd playing, Wisely has followed the muses of Singer, Guitarist, Producer, Songwriting Collaborator, Composer, and sometimes Clothes Horse. The summer of 2019 marks the release of his new album Face The Sun, produced by John “Strawberry” Fields who crafted Wisely’s breakthrough '90s albums She and Turbosherbet. Face The Sun includes a Wisely chosen cover of his long-time favorite obscurity, the Jackie Lomax gem, “Fall Inside Your Eyes”.
