Born Calistus Sokuu in West Africa, Verb embarked on a life journey that eventually led him to Saint Paul, Minnesota. He moved to South Africa at the age of 6, then to the United States by the age of 16. Due to his father's love for music, Verb was raised around it all his life. He wrote his first verse at the age of 15 and never looked back. With a unique voice, sense of musical expression and the kind of versatility most do not possess, Verb stands out as an artist. His music has been featured on local radio station; KMOJ, and other online stations. From open mic events to shows across the country, he's done it all. "Success is a journey, not a destination", these are the words that he lives by. The journey has just begun.
