The history of UZZA is essentially the history of lead singer Tabatha Predovich and guitarist/keyboardist Rich Patterson who have been writing and performing together since meeting in Detroit back in 2001. At that time, Tabatha was fronting a popular rock outfit called Radium. Meanwhile, Rich Patterson was leading a band called The Resonators when Tabatha tapped him to join Radium. By the time 2003 rolled around, Radium had transformed into UZZA (named for a goddess in Egyptian mythology). During UZZA’s time in Detroit they managed to garner a fair amount of attention from local press.

In 2004 Tabatha and Rich relocated to Minneapolis where they worked on several other musical projects before resurrecting UZZA in 2009. Since then, the band has played scores of shows all over the Twin Cities, entertaining crowds with an eclectic musical mixture of Brit-pop and post-punk influences. In January of 2012, UZZA released their inaugural effort: Samsara – a 10 song album of original music that showcases their songwriting prowess and deft musicianship. The current members include guitarist Chris Ginther and bassist Geoff Maas. Together, along with Tabatha and Rich, they create a sound and a live experience that’s exciting, evocative and unforgettable.
