Uncle Jesse's Comb

Uncle Jesse's Comb is a rock trio based in Minneapolis. Formed in 2020 amid basement jams between roommates, the three-piece emerged in Summer 2021 with their debut EP, Mr. Goodpart, along with an eclectic and commanding live set. UJC exists in a space between psychedelic and post-rock, where chewed up grunge riffs give way to post-punk grooves woven into spectral soundscapes. Nik’s idiosyncratic guitar playing and visceral lyricism build upon Spence (bass) and Valentine’s (drums) ceaselessly grooving foundation, delivering a layered feast of sonic luxury. After deepening their musical chemistry over two years of performances across Minnesota, the band released their first LP, Sun Plumes, in Fall 2023.
