Tylar Berry

Born “Tylar Berry” on November 1990 in Freeport Illinois. He was raised also in Freeport Illinois until mid 2004 where he moved to west St. Paul MN. Not knowing anyone he stayed to himself and focused on his schooling. It was 2005 when Tylar decided that he was into music and his freshman year joined the North Saint Paul High school band. Sadly throughout the semester, reading music soon became difficult for him and he was dropped from the schools drum line. With him being dropped, it made him quit the band all together and that’s when he told himself that he would give up music. From 2005 to 2008 tylar decided to focus more on dancing and co founded the teenage dance crew “Lunchbox”, after many performances Tylar felt that he wanted to try knew things so he went into acting. He then joined the Saint Paul Central acting program and found that he really enjoyed acting.

It wasn’t until a acting exercise that required him to sing, that he found out that he felt he had what it took to be a great artist. This encouraged Tylar to audition for the hip hop musical “W.O.R.D” where he got the role of his choice. After performing the play, Tylar got deeper into music and with the help of mentor Samuel Garret, he found Classic records studio where he began working on his own music. On Tylar’s birthday (November 19, 2010) he droped his mixtape called the “Sextape” which created a buzz that he never believed he would have. With his own remix of Drake's “Your Type” getting over a thousand downloads and plays, Tylar felt like nothing could get better and then he joined the group Varsity. After Tylar Joined Varsity they all came to an agreement to be solo artist. Tylar then dropped his next mixtape called “BORN A MAN” on November 19, 2011 and soon after he was signed with local label Pledge empire where he is currently a recording artist. Tylar is also co-founder and CEO of Fly Minds Entertainment.
