Treasure Da Music

Godson Omoruyi Osawe, better known as his stage name, “Mr. Treasure,” grew up in Lagos City, Nigeria. From a young age he had a love for music and was greatly inspired by Lucky Dube, Shabba Ranks, and Bob Marley, just to name a few. From the early age of 9 Mr. Treasure started chanting the lingo and from then on he knew it was his dream to become like the greats he always listened to. In 1999 he joined forces with two childhood friends and started his first music group call the X-Boyz. After a few years of running the harsh streets of Lagos City, searching for his opportunity to achieve his dream, he then knew his best chance of being discovered was to travel to The United States.

Since moving, he has performed all over the country. He has showcased his talent at many major festivals including Seattle Hemp Fest, Bella Luna in Geneva, MN, Oktoberfest in Appleton, WI, and 10K Fest in Detroit Lakes, MI. Mr. Treasure has been very active, performing with live bands and DJ’s in over 150 bars and venues in the Midwest. He has toured with bands such as Unity The Band, Phocus, and featured with Greg Waters and the Broad Street Boogie. Releasing his first official album, Pain N Da Gain, in June 2010, he has since released No Dayz Off [undefined] Sept.2012, Treasure Da Music Project [TDM], and looks forward to releasing Now Or Never this fall. Mr. Treasure’s unique music style fits in the category of Reggae, Dancehall and Pop. His energy is unmatched. His authenticity is beyond any reasonable doubt and because of his relentless work ethic he is now living out his dream and motivating others to chase theirs.
