These Worlds Collide

Take every preconceived notion about a metal band, every stereotype and discard it. For all the long hair and tattoos, These Worlds Collide is anything but typical. Their music can be described in a style that perfectly sums up the personality of this band, “We are the Throwback Mountain Dew of Metal.”

Formed out of the ashes of previous projects, Zach started the band in the beginning of 2008. Carrying over members from his last band, he and Ramona decided to find a new direction. This period of self discovery and musical collaboration ended in the decision to find another guitar player. Enter Matt, a talented guitarist and an instant fit. He very quickly added flavor to the existing songs and helped write in a heavier direction. With a more old school feel and a new school attitude, they combine heavy, intricate guitar work with complex rhythmic changes. These lay a foundation for vocals that are one moment pristine melodies and aggressive assaults the next. Having found their sound, These Worlds Collide just had to round out the line up with like minded musicians.

The next three years were a tumultuous period, filled with steps forward and slides back. Ever driven, what became the core of the band soldiered on, never yielding in their vision of what the band should and would represent. All the determination and hard work has paid off, the final pieces to the proverbial puzzle falling into place. Mike joined the band in early 2011, bringing a fresh perspective and much sought after experience to the drums. The only thing left was to round out the rhythm section. Once again, the band held out for what felt like the right person, and convinced Adam to move up from Florida to join the band as bassist. The future is bright for These Worlds Collide, now that the band is whole once again the possibilities are endless. These driven individuals will not stop in their dream to share their music with the world.
