THE SUMMER COATS

THE SUMMER COATS are a singing, strumming, tap-dancing whirlwind of sound characterized by the juxtaposition of differing style influences from its two core members, Chase Daniel Burkhart (Singer/Guitarist) and Molly Kay Stoltz (Singer/Tap Dancer). On one hand, Burkhart describes his more modern writing style and musical direction as an indie rock inspired blend of Folk and R&B, or "Folk-Rock-R&B". On the other, Stoltz brings a more old-time musical style into the mix with her tap dancing and vocal technique, indicating an obvious passion for classic country, jazz standards, and bluegrass.
