"Your new favorite punk band might not be a bunch of snotty kids, but rather this quartet of Minnesota scene vets and parents who are royally p.o.'d at the world we're leaving those kids.”
Chris Riemenschneider, Minneapolis Star Tribune
The Silent Treatment is anything but. It is Minneapolis rock and roll at its finest, stripped down and subtle as a car accident with fast and driving rhythms, raucous guitar tones, and fiery tongue-in-cheek lyrics. Always loud, always fast, and full of energy, the Silent Treatment is Keely Lane (Ol’ Yeller, Trailer Trash, Rich Mattson and the Northstars) on drums, Dave Randall (The Boot R&B, Kinda Kinky, Cindy Lawson) on bass, Rob Sells (Loose Rails, Low Rats) on guitar, and Claire Luger on vocals.
The group recently released their first full album called Suplex in 10! (2024), primarily recorded at Terrarium Studios and featuring unapologetically opinionated tracks of driving rhythms, raucous guitar tones, and impatient lyrics. The group’s previous EPs You’re Gonna Get it (2018) and Everything’s Just Fine (2021) are available on Bandcamp and most live shows. The Silent Treatment's music has been featured on 89.3 The Current’s Local Show, KFAI's Spin with Cyn, MSP Sound, Desert Islands, Real Punk Radio, and KVSC's Undercurrents Punk Rock.
