The Ries Brothers

Hailing from St. Petersburg, Florida, The Ries Brothers (pronounced "Rees") are a force to be reckoned with on the music scene. This dynamic duo, Charlie and Kevin Jordan Ries, blends rock, blues, funk, and reggae into a soulful and sophisticated sound that captivates audiences.

Charlie, the elder brother (28), delivers powerful vocals while simultaneously laying down the groove on drums and keyboard bass, creating a unique and full sound. Kevin Jordan (24) complements him perfectly with his guitar, ukulele, and melodica wizardry, adding layers of sonic creativity and soulful harmonies.

Their journey began on the Florida bar circuit as teenagers, where their talent caught the attention of legendary band CHICAGO, leading to regional tours and a decision to chase their musical dreams full-time.

The Ries Brothers' captivating live performances have earned them a loyal following across various musical genres. They've graced major stages, sharing the spotlight with renowned artists like G Love & Special Sauce, Stick Figure, Pepper, Galactic, Stephen Marley, 311, and Iration. They've also rocked major festivals like Okeechobee Music Fest, Sunfest,  Cali Roots, Gasparilla, and Summer Camp.

The pandemic couldn't stop their creativity. They used the time to collaborate remotely with members of The Lumineers, Gary Clark Jr., Steve Miller Band, and Iration.

A self-titled EP produced by Gary Clark Jr.'s original drummer and engineer was released in 2022. This EP featured a collaboration with G Love & Cas Haley and hit #1 on Spotify's "Nu Blues" playlist.  2023 saw the release of their dancey blues rock track "Your Friday Night," and “Strange Times”

Always pushing boundaries, they released a reggae remix of their song "Take It Back" featuring Julian Marley, Bumpin Uglies, Little Stranger, and more. This track was part of their second full-length album, Paint Your Emotion, which leaned towards alternative rock and was produced by John Agnello (Screaming Trees, Dinosaur Jr.).

Recently, they headlined coast-to-coast tours, captivating even more fans. They supported David Shaw of The Revivalists and even joined him on stage every night. They further solidified their place in the festival scene with appearances at Cali Vibes, Okeechobee Music Fest, Dry Diggins, Montana Hemp Fest, and Terptown Throwdown.

Rounding out 2023, they opened for 311 again and joined them on the 311 Cruise for the second time. They capped off the year with performances at Innings Fest and Shaky Knees alongside Dave Matthews Band, Marcus Mumford, Imagine Dragons, and more. 2024 has started off busy with the band on a 60+ Date run with “Big Something” and multiple new festivals and revisits to older ones.2024 promises to be another exciting year, with a 60-date direct support tour booked alongside jam band Big Something with more Festivals confirmed.
