The Quaking Bogge

Formed circa 2010, The Quaking Bogge is a progressive folk group with gothic overtones. Members include Gerard-Jean Boissy (of Thunderbolt Pagoda, Rifle Sport, et al), Erik Wivinus and Matt Entsminger (of Thunderbolt Pagoda, Gates Of Dawn, Magenta Vice), and renowned flutist Julie Johnson. Original pieces, traditional/medieval songs, and reinterpreted covers are all brought to life using unique string instruments (Gerard’s main instrument is a custom-built hybrid of bouzouki and guitar) and dedication to the form. Live appearances are rare; this will be their first show in the Twin Cities in several years. Their bread is sorrow, their drink is tears.
