The Menagerie

Get ready to groove! The Menagerie is a 4-piece funk/jam band based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Originally starting as a folk revival project in lead guitarist Matthew Smith’s (he/him) freshman dorm, the Menagerie has begun to stretch their legs, continuously reaching deeper into the ether of sound. Influence from Americana, funk, and indie rock creates a feeling of nostalgia, while improvised solos and jams make performances feel fresh, personal, and dynamic.
