The Lioness

The Lioness was born and raised in Minneapolis. Following inspiration from the likes of Ms. Lauryn Hill & Queen Latifah, helped influence her artistically.

Her first Mixtape, The Most Anticipated, released in January of 2011, debuted just months after graduating from McNally Smith College of Music in St. Paul. The Lioness has been privileged to work alongside a host of legendary performers, such as: I Self Devine, Brother Ali, and Atmosphere. She has also built relationships with top producers & winners of the, Red Bull Big Tune Beat Battle Championship, Nicademus and G Mo.

The Lioness believes it is an obligation support other beacons of positivity & truth. She has had the honor of working with community organizations such as: Occupy Homes, Neighborhoods Organizing for Change, Save The Kids, Outfront Minnesota, Safe School For All Coalition, Hope Community, Voices for Racial Justice and the MN Voter ID Amendment.

The Lioness has released a series of mixtapes, Lost Tapes, Queen, and a collaboration album with Titan administration Records called The Cabinet. On June 30, 2016, The Lioness released her first full-length album, Growing Pains. On May 26, 2018, she released her second full-length album, Greater Vision. She is currently on tour with Atmosphere. She still resides on the Northside and is focused on spreading positivity in her community.
