The Lakers

Secret Stash Records' house band, The Lakers, have recorded with Wanda Davis, Jack Harris, The Valdons, and most notably Sonny Knight. As Knight's backing band (Star Tribune's Best Live Band of 2014), the group sharpened their hard-soul sound by touring throughout the US and Europe. Today The Lakers are hard at work writing a new record with Sonny Knight to be recorded this spring. Before heading back out on the road this summer, The Lakers have decided to start playing instrumental shows at home. As an instrumental act, they blend Latin, Jamaican, and Jazz influenced Rhythm and Blues all while maintaining a relentlessly danceable groove
