A native of Minneapolis, Sean spent much of the nineties honing his songwriting craft in the indie rock band Veronica On Ice - a band that also at one time or another included Judd Hildreth (Valet, Duplomacy), Mike Gunther & Aaron Larson (Mike Gunther & His Restless Souls), Jason Cook (The Crush), and Dan Cote (co-owner of the Heart of a Champion label).
Originally from Brice Prairie, WI, Chad spent much of his youth learning and playing classical cello. He had an epiphany while listening to "City Baby Attacked By Rats" and made a move beyond the "classics".
In the mid-1990s, they started playing together (along with some other folks) calling themselves Brakemen's Local No. 213. "Slipped Past the Knot" is just one track from their unreleased LP.
The Ghost of Sean Arthur Peterson is the current incarnation of that music. For the last few years Sean and his wife and two children lived in Northfield, MN, making live shows a rare treat. After Sean's return to St. Paul, he and Chad (also a new father!) have been working hard on some new tunes, all while being orbited by kids of various ages! They think it's pretty "danceable." You decide for yourself.
In recent years, The Ghost of Sean Arthur Peterson has opened for the likes of Eleni Mandell, Rebecca Gates (of The Spinanes), and The Deadly Snakes and played shows with friends such as John Wills, The Evening Rig, Uke of Phillips, and Mike Gunther & His Restless Souls.
