The Fox Loves formed in July of 2017. All notable musicians from the seminal ‘90s Minneapolis scene, the call again to rock stuck like a lightning bolt to their hearts that summer. Michelle Leon (former bassist of Babes in Toyland) began playing with Dawn Kuehl-Miller (former guitarist of Smut; Egg Twist; and Kiss or Kill) and immediately they discovered their beautiful dynamic. Shortly after, they teamed up with Hallie Bowman (former drummer of Lily Liver) and became complete.
Their songs combine fierce rock and punk, simple and complicated sound and rhythm. This is music made to communicate everything they honor, big and little, strength and struggle, life in all its complicated glow. They played their first shows in the spring of 2018, including Record Store Day at Dead Media, and Grumpy’s 20th Anniversary Party opening for Superchunk and other notable bands. They recently appeared on KFAI 90.3 radio, on the Spin With Cyn, show, where they recorded live, serving as their debut in Minneapolis and beyond.
