Minneapolis band The Dirty Banks started in earnest in July 2012. Their songs favor distorted guitars, electric pianos, a tight, driving rhythm section and a touch of noise. Like the seasonal contrasts of their hometown, their sound swings from dream rock to indie pop, from contemplative to celebratory.
