The Acid Helps is a Los Angeles-based alternative rock band with hints of metal and stoner rock.
Tim Dawson (Guitar and Vocals) is also known for his guitar work with The Birth Defects and Legend Of The Seagullmen, featuring members of TOOL, Mastodon, Primus, Metalocalypse: Dethklok, and Giraffe Tongue Orchestra.
Drummer Ryan “Junior” Kittlitz is also a current member of All Hail The Yeti, Deveraux (featuring Paul Wiley of Marilyn Manson), and BURNOUT BRIGADE (featuring Grammy award-winning producer Warren Riker). He previously played with SNFU, Compromise, and Savannah.
Their sound has been influenced by and compared to bands like the smalls, Led Zeppelin, The Jesus Lizard, Black Sabbath, Soundgarden, Alice In Chains, Queens of the Stone Age, The Beatles, Graveyard, Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats, and Witchcraft.
The Acid Helps released their first single titled “This Thing Will Not Die” in September of 2021. It was self-produced, with drums recorded at Twinstar Studios in San Diego, California by Adam Sisco, and mastering was done by Jamie King. More singles will be released in regular intervals throughout 2021 and 2022.
