Taylor J is a 23-year-old emcee/songwriter from Saint Paul, Minnesota. He's been mentored by hip-hop historian, cultural ambassador and brand strategist Shaheem Reid, who's slowly but surely showing him the ropes in the music industry. He's also spearheaded the TJT (Taylor J Takeover) Movement, which consists of his support system and "anybody that supports his music." Since he began rapping a decade ago, he's started his own imprint (Scenious Society) and collaborated with the likes of Sy Ari Da Kid, Cyhi The Prynce, DJ Woogie, M.I.S.F.I.T.Z, Verse Simmonds, R.L., Bobby Valentino, DJ Holiday, Fat Trel, Rocko, Nipsey Hussle, DJ Advance, Jazze Pha, Gucci Mane and more. Taylor has plans of "taking on the world and changing and creating feelings with [his] music", as well as putting his home state on the map.
