It has been nearly half a decade since Ann Arbor, MI's Tally Hall first dropped their arcade-inspired debut effort, 2005′s Marvin’s Marvelous Mechanical Museum, but the five piece have rediscovered their pop sensibilities and color-coded neckties for their forthcoming summer release, GOOD & EVIL. After splitting ways with Atlantic records, who re-released Marvin’s Marvelous Mechanical Museum in 2008, Joe Hawley (Red Tie), Zubin Sedghi (Blue Tie), Rob Cantor (Yellow Tie), Ross Federman (Gray Tie), and Andrew Horowitz (Green Tie) are set to release GOOD & EVIL independently via Quack! Media.

Produced by Tony Hoffer (Beck, Depeche Mode, Bell & Sebastian), the album’s new single “You and Me” shares many characteristics with Belle & Sebastian’s indie-pop tracks. The track has a bright melody, crisp vocals courtesy of Rob Cantor, and even if you can’t remember the words, you will definitely be humming the tune for the rest of the afternoon. So, find that special friend, pick up one of those earphone splitters, and enjoy the new track during a stroll in the springtime sunshine. GOOD & EVIL will be released June 21, 2011.
