Stone Arch Isles began performing together in 2016, playing highly collaborative, often improvisational acoustic house shows around Minneapolis. Since then, they have cultivated a passionate and varied following in the Twin Cities, and played an impressive number of shows across the Midwest, including a headlining show at Studio B and a performance at Sofar Sounds Chicago. The band has also made waves online with their well-received series of “Local Sessions” – live, stripped-back video performances of their emotional songs.
A unique and harmonious combination of sweet-sounding guitars, soaring three-part harmonies, warm basslines, driven percussion, and the occasional rap, Stone Arch Isles carries forward the indie-rock torch with inspiration from the likes of Young the Giant, Catfish and the Bottlemen, and Local Natives. After a year of work, their debut EP, Kingdoms, was released on March 9, 2018.
