Steve Palmer

On his first full-length, Unblinking Sun, Steve Palmer filters krautrock, drone, and psychedelic improvisation through the vernacular of the American fingerpicked folk tradition. A student of Takoma guitar legend Peter Lang, Palmer has opened throughout the Twin Cities for acts such as Chris Forsyth and the Solar Motel Band, Daniel Bachman, Mind Over Mirrors, and Paul Metzger. Prior releases include Garfield Avenue Sessions, a compilation of home recordings issued on on the small tape label Ambivalent Soap. Just emerged from first tour with collaborator Matt Beachey, sharing bills with acts like Health and Beauty and Ty Segall in support of new Slow Clarity cassette on Cabin Floor Esoterica.
