Spiffy Wilds, born Shaquil Jackson April 2, 1994 to Tanya and Phil Jackson at Children’s Hospital in St. Paul, MN. I started doing music when I was 7 yrs. old in 2nd grade. Music became the way for me to channel my energy as a child because it helped me focus. The older I became the more encompassed with the art of music I became. It eventually became the only way I knew how to express how I felt or what I was going through at that time. The beginning of my life was very comfortable childhood because both of my parents worked. I started taking music serious after the death of my sister Markesha Dec. 26 2008 from kidney failure.
Not long after that my mother lost her job and we were forced to live with my grandmother and aunt who lived in a 2 bedrooom apartment. My father and older brother DJ were both incarcerated during that period in my life and my mother struggled to provide for us and times were hard. After the death of my older sister and the incarceration of my father and older brother, things got a lot harder. I started to see music as a way to make it out of my situation and provide for my family.
I was always influenced by some of the best in different lanes like DMX, Ludacris, 2Pac, The Notorious BIG, Jeezy, Gucci Mane, Snoop Dogg, Lil Wayne, Kendrick Lamar to name a few. I see music and a way to reach people and provide for those closest to me. So far I’ve shared the stage with Fetty Wap, Problem, Tink, OG Maco, Young Dro, Caskey, and MN Fats. The first mixtape I released when I was 16 was called “PASS ME CHUCKS”. The next mixtape I made was called "JUICE LIKE STEEL” after was “THE SESSION”. My latest project is called "SOME OF EVERYTHING”.
