Saucyraya

Soraya, also known as Saucyraya, is a 22-year-old Haitian woman born and raised in the US. She has spent most of her life traveling and living in different parts of the world. She was born in Florida but soon after birth moved to Haiti, Dominican Republic, New York, Connecticut, California, Senegal, Iowa, Illinois, and is currently living in Minneapolis, MN. Soraya began dancing at a young age. She was trained in hip-hop by Alvin Ramirez, a former competitor of America’s Best Dance Crew. She has also trained in jazz, traditional Haitian dance styles, heels, and twerk. She currently teaches Pop-Up Afro and Afroheelz classes at the Workroom in Roseville, MN. Not only that, she is the Assistant Director of Dance Ensemble at her alma mater, Hamline University. Her passion for dance speaks louder than words and is excited to share that with other movers and viewers.
