Sophie Hiroko was raised on the shore of Lake Superior, making her lullaby the sound of waves crashing into the beach. Wild winds, whipping storms, and biting winters have inspired Hiroko's growling grunge rock to reflect the cycles of life and death. Sophie pairs her painfully raw poetry against a sound derived from that of her idols - Nirvana, Patti Smith, Yo La Tengo, and the Velvet Underground.
