Skweezy Jibbs is the comedy alter ego of Tim Savage who has proved a huge hit with internet audiences, particularly in America, being dubbed “comedy gold” by the likes of Bored Panda. Across various platforms, with well over half a million fans and followers across the likes of Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. He is particularly well known for his poorly spelled viral tweets that always convey a liberal message despite appearing right-wing at first sight. Already popular, Jibbs came into his own during the pandemic, publishing screenshots of his hilarious responses to DMs from homophobes and anti-maskers. He also goes a long way — literally — for visual gags. Driving for five hours to collect free takeaway food at one point and “hitchhiking” nearly 400 miles to help out at the wrong BLM offices (the Bureau of Land Management).
Savage inhabits Jibbs’ baseball-capped, vacantly staring character so well that it can often become hard to tell whether he’s joking or not. For instance, one viral tweet he created showed him having woken up with a new neck tattoo that he asked for at a party — he’d ended up with a chest tattoo of his neck. Whether Savage had genuinely gone out and got the tattoo or is adept at Photoshop is hard to say, and that’s all part of the allure.
The real Tim Savage prefers to remain enigmatic, but it’s known that he’s a successful software employee who has spent time with Apple. What really matters, however, is the wholesome content he creates through his bumbling but big-hearted comic creation.
