RYAT

The ever evolving act RYAT, is Christina Ryat's brainchild of electro sound experiments. Christina is a multi-instrumentalist who uses live electronics, instruments, pedals, and software to manipulate sound and create avant compositional pop tunes. She collaborates under the name with many diverse artist including, Taylor McFerrin, which the two's latest song "A PLACE IN YOUR HEART," will be the single for Taylor's solo record to be released this spring on Brainfeeder (Flying Lotus's Label), and has been featured on Giles Peterson's Brownswood Bubbler Six compilation. RYAT is also on the title track of King Britt's latest release "Intricate Beauty." Live, you can catch her in the avant improv scene collaborating with artist such as Calvin G. Weston, Mike Dillon, and even Mark Guiliana. RYAT's latest addition to the group consists of Tim Conley, composer multi-instrumentalist who has brought the band into a high level of improvisational elements live and has become half of the band efforts in all recording and touring. As of late, the two consider RYAT as a duo effort. RYAT's March 2011 release is now a national reissue of their latest LP Avant Gold, with a deluxe edition of remixes by Botany, White Rainbow and many more.
