Randy Casey

From the stages of CBGB and Whiskey A-Go-Go to a recording gig attended by Bob Dylan, Randy Casey’s music career spans more than three decades of twists and twangs starting with his first gig at age 15. A commanding front man and an engaging solo artist, Randy rocks roomfuls of revelers with classic covers and captivates jaded music heads with his own emotive, evocative songs.

His original compositions push the boundaries of what’s expected from a guitar virtuoso with a rock and roots soul. Reviewers christened him a Hip-Hop Hillbilly. His beautifully crafted songs evoke the Rolling Stones jamming with Andy Griffith; a surprising and delicious blend of corn pone meets Brit rock.

From session work to live stages, Randy is a human jukebox instantly recalling, recreating and reinventing generations of music and musical styles. In the studio, he’s a producer’s dream: a talented session ace able to explore alternatives while always delivering on mark. Commercially, Randy’s music has been heard backing NPR’s “All Things Considered.” He’s composed commercial tracks for Target, H & R Block, Levi’s, Mattel, Pep Boys, Vidal Sassoon and other famous brands. Randy’s also scored for film and television, including Polly’s Global Walk and The Choo-Choo Bob Show, and some of his work has been licensed by Fox Television.

Over the years, Randy has performed, recorded or toured with numerous artists including: Shannon Curfman, Peter Himmelman, and Billy McLaughlin. He’s also shared stages with Wilco, Eddie Money, North Mississippi All-Stars, Buddy Guy, Paul Westerberg, Melissa Etheridge, Robert Cray, John Mellencamp, Meat Loaf, 10,000 Maniacs, Jimmy Vaughn, Freddy Fender and many others.

A full-time musician based in the Seattle area, Randy and his bands are available for live performances and private events. Randy is also available for recording sessions, commercial work and film and TV scores.
