PRINTS

Like a once-magnificent piece of machinery coming back to life for the first time in decades, “full heist” quickly whirs up to speed, kicking off the dust and rust and settling into a waved-out jungle beat. It’s the feeling of an entire city regaining power after a long storm. The TV glitches and the lights flicker. Flourishes of glitched-out guitar and short-circuited electronics flash and catch your ear, before quickly settling back into the well-oiled groove that PRINTS has created. “full heist” is its own sonic world, and PRINTS eloquently plays god.

PRINTS is a mostly-improvised project that performs instrumental heady looping beat-driven electro-acoustic doom jazz with a hint of jungle. PRINTS personnel is: Eric Carranza (guitar, loops), Dave Power (drums, loops), and Andrew Thoreen (bass, loops).
