Party House is the concept of singer/songwriter Gwen Ruehle and producer/instrumentalist Tommy Rehbein. Gwen began writing songs on acoustic guitar and piano in her apartment, then Tommy filtered them through his brain, which is heavily saturated on the shoegaze and new wave pop music of his heroes across the pond. After the duo recorded their debut EP, Lee Pain Carter joined on bass, filling out the band's low end and adding extra depth to the material. Expect a mix of breathy, somber vocals, feedback drenched guitars, warm analog synths, and deliberately minimalist rhythms.
