Nina has been DJing for over 5 years. She began by booking local bands, throwing punk shows and spinning records all over Southern California. With her all vinyl selections, she incorporates a unique blend of funk, glam rock, new wave, garage, post-punk, psych rock, disco and soul. She’s developed an encompassing collection of pristine records spanning from the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s to today. She is a member of the all female, internationally renowned performance collective Byrd Call Orkestra, who combine unique instruments with advanced beats and choreography into a high-energy, all-sensory entertainment experience.
Nina has traveled internationally with this musical group, coordinating their set lists and live mixing their tracks. She also books live shows and promotes bands with one of her partners for their popular night, Over the Edge. She currently has residencies at No Vacancy, Dirty Laundry, The Monty, R Bar and Spare Room, among others. She freelances at parties and other events, more notably fashion shows for Comune, RVCA, Beach Riot and more, press parties for Lomography, Skateboarder Magazine, Oyster Magazine, just to name a few, a promotional party for LA Mayor Eric Garcetti as well as number of art shows and gallery openings.
