Booming along the river bends of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, you’ll find Motherwind launching their songs at the masses. Forming in August of 2020, the quartet—Anthony Frey (vocals, guitar), Nate Rogers (lead guitar), Michael Hargens (bass), Jackson Kleingartner (drums)—has taken lengthy strides in revealing their primal artistry to the masses, despite their formation amid the coronavirus pandemic. Since forming, Motherwind has worked to spread its name around the Midwest via its electrifying live show and unique eclectic sound. The young group’s '70s-bred roots and alt-groove sound has left the floors of rock clubs and bars tremoring, and the concoction of psychedelic riffs and hair-raising chord progressions leaves their audiences stirred. Motherwind has shared the stage with a variety of contemporaries such as Crobot, The Black Moods, OTNES, Gemini Syndrome, P.O.D., and Drowning Pool, and the band is consistently invited back to venues. With an active gig schedule supporting their growth, an endless drive to write and create, and a familial approach to engaging with their fanbase, the young group has already shown efficacy in creating a blazing reputation within the rock scene and leaving a lasting impression on listeners and showgoers alike. Current focuses of the band include finishing writing and producing their upcoming EP, maintaining a consistent gigging/touring schedule, ridding the world of piñatas one gig at a time, and otherwise continuing to find new and exciting ways to bring people into the Motherwind family with their tasty brand of alt-rock.
