From the furthest reaches of our galaxy to Brooklyn/Chicago comes the captivating Electronic Pop-Rock group known as Moon Furies. They have taken the country by storm, performing with acts such as Peter Bjorn and John, Dot Dot Dot, and Beat Connection – not to mention their recent completion of 100 Shows in 100 Days with all proceeds being directed to cancer research.

You simply haven’t lived until you’ve experienced this electrifying group led by Andy Kiel and Jim Wittmann (best friends since the age of four). Veoba describes their shows as a ”momentous electronic performance” with a blend “starry-eyed synths and celestial harmonies.” Windy City Rock has described them as “Muppets on crack” who were “born to be rockstars.” Their debut album, Mercury, features a variety of songs from their raunchy dance based song, Way Down to Logan Square which Loud Loop Press describes as having a "head-bobbing beat, wild synths and echo-y vocals reminiscent of Tears For Fears [which] will no doubt keep the party going." Or as the Chicagoist more simply puts it "throbbing, retro-futuristic dance beats." Moon Furies is a dance party band circa 1981, set in the outer rim of the Galaxy via 2111. What’s not to like?
