the chicago duo mixwell house consists of lauren s. & t. mixwell. each growing up on opposite sides of chicago, their love for house music was deep. both come from a classical music background from an early age. as a teenager, t. discovered her passion for house music listening to her older brother play lil louis's - french kiss in his bedroom and going to parties in the mid - ninties. while lauren's passion came from listening to old mix tapes and hanging w/friends and dj's at raves in the mid - ninties. the two met through a mutual friend & immediately hit it off. after little time spent together spinning records & discussing their musical influences, it was evident... these gals had a rare chemistry & a duo was born. ever since they have been moving heads & dancefloors with deep throbing basslines and ear pleasing rythms around the midwest and beyond. their style will take you into a unconventional world of funky jackin house w/an old school flavor. be sure to be on the look out for these girls as 2010 has these ladies sinking their teeth into production.
