Mineral Man delivers easy listening, chill vibes with a funky punky twist. Guitarist, singer and former-geologist Henry Saarinen and Alex Guzman (drummer) have been friends since age 10, and jammed together long before “The Mines” ever opened. Leo Lerner (bass machine) and Henry became friends and musical colleagues in college, and Mike “Sully” Sullivan (Lead Guitar) was a shining gem discovered in the depths of a Minneapolis musicians Facebook group. We love to do everything DIY, and have recorded all our music, including our latest album: GEE! I wish I had an ANSWER KEY, across various living rooms, basements, and bathrooms. With the introduction of each band member, our body of work has evolved from Henry’s dumping ground for his solo drum-machine-bedroom-indie-pop, to a more adventurous, full band sound with delicious notes of Midwest emo, folk rock, and '60s rock, all sprinkled with fun, and modern herbs and spices. If you like mellow, melancholy reverb-rich vocal harmonies, slippery clean lead guitar riffs, and groovy bass lines, you’ll like Mineral Man.
