Meyru writes impassioned, guitar-driven songs anchored by melodic hooks and deeply personal lyrics. After recording their album, Slow Up, the band supported its release with a series of sold-out shows all over New York City, San Francisco, Atlanta, DC, Austin, Philadelphia. The album's single "Off White" found breakaway success on streaming platforms, allowing Meyru to reach a truly global fanbase, and become the first signee to The Revels Groups' label Coup D'eTat Music.
Based in NYC, the band is working with Sam Skinner (Pinegrove, Forth Wanderers), Jay Som (boygenius, Bachelor), and Dave Cerminara (Father John Misty, Paris Texas) to bring their vision for Meyru's next chapter to life: Imitation Honey releasing in 2024. In line with their previous records, Meyru is recording each song entirely live with the intention of bringing out the true energy felt in their live shows. Meyru will be performing their new work throughout 2024 supporting Marc E Bassy, Skizzy Mars, Dogpark, and their own headline shows.
