Trip Audio is pleased to have released MEMEME's first full length album in March of 2014. The album is self-titled and was completely written by Cassidy Anderson, Andrew Bizek, Justin Johnson, Ryan Moore and Mark McGuiness and proudly accepted into the Minnesota indie music scene. The band has been collaborating for three years now and has performed at Triple Rock Social Club, The Cabooze, The Fineline and many other venues. Liam Moore recently joined the band to play bass after the unfortunate departure of Justin Johnson from the group.
MEMEME was featured on VoPro radio and is excited to get their album in the hands of their eager fans. Evoking bands like Weezer, The Dandy Warhols, Pavement, Lou Reed, and Neil Young, this enticing new album was recorded by Rob Oesterlin at The Terrerium Studio in minneapolis and Mastered by the nationally known Dave Gardner at Magneto Mastering in Minneapolis.
The catchy tunes of Andrew Bizek compliment the insightful lyrics of Cassidy Anderson and are best heard on tracks like "Silhouettes" and "Mr. Luck." These tunes are a fresh new take on modern indie rock. Songs like "Centerfold" and "Thee Dirty Heaven" will have listeners humming all day. The album contrasts these upbeat tunes with melancholic songs like "The Mess I Made" and "Shelter" which are more introspective and spacious. MEMEME had their album release at The Cabooze in Minneapolis with Minnesota groups Space Monster and Aitas on March 6, 2014. The new album has already created a splash in the Minneapolis music scene, and the band keeps an active performing schedule in the Twin Cities, St. Cloud and Mankato. They are planning a midwest tour for early 2015.
