Marc Maron

Marc Maron (born September 27, 1963) is an American stand-up comedian. He was host of The Marc Maron Show in affiliation with Air America Radio. He has been a frequent guest on the Late Show with David Letterman and Late Night with Conan O'Brien, and he was a regular guest on Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn. He has also appeared in his own specials on HBO and Comedy Central, as well as on comedy showcases such as the Cam Neely Foundation fundraiser, which featured such acts as Jon Stewart, Denis Leary, and Steven Wright. His one-man show, Jerusalem Syndrome, had an extended off-Broadway run in 2000 and was released in book form in 2001. Maron frequently appeared in the live alternative standup series he'd organized with Janeane Garofalo called "Eating It," which used the rock bar Luna Lounge in New York's Lower East Side as its venue until the building was razed in 2005.
