Livid Lover is the moniker currently defining Minneapolis singer/songwriter Blake Nolan Hanson. Livid Lover live is primarily a powerful acoustic show, with tastefully tasty samples behind Hanson's classically trained voice. Critics and fans describe his sound as a mid career-Cure, Smashing Pumpkins and Radiohead with a Jeff Buckleyesque singer. Colorful chord progressions and unique guitar voicings over refreshing dynamic swells are some of Hanson's favorite weapons to use, along with his obsessive refinement to lyrics.

No stranger to the stage, Hanson has been in Minnesota rock bands FLOOZiE, Veloure, Echowal, Dead Inner Critic, and Naked Parade. The 16+ years of experience with these rockers showed him opportunities to play nearly every venue in Minneapolis/St.Paul, St. Cloud, Duluth, and even an opening slot for a national act at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland.
Early in 2010, Livid Lover released his self produced-debut album Beautiful & Intimate Betrayals which has received rave reviews worldwide. Uncomfortably autobiographical and what Hanson declares as "almost too personal", critics are mesmerized with the building and expanding continuity of Beautiful & Intimate Betrayals. Mixed by Peter Anderson at Flowers Studio and Mastered by Bruce Templeton, B&IB stands as a rare work of art. Hanson plans to keep releasing music as Livid Lover including another full length record in mid to late 2011. Experiencing what he has to offer is time well spent. Prepare to be moved.
