Last time there was only “one”….now it’s three of them. That’s right, three quarters of the original Kyuss members and the only ones entitled to play the real shit are reuniting and have recruited six string master Bruno Fevery to unleash their desert rock fury in 2011 across the world. As you may or may not know, Kyuss is now more than 20 years old. While still in highschool, Brant Bjork, Josh Homme and John Garcia started Kyuss (originally known as Sons Of Kyuss) in 1989. The band produced five albums in total, all of which featured Garcia on vocals. In october 1995, just three months after releasing what could be argued as their breakthrough album ……And The Circus Leaves Town (thanks to MTV airplay), Kyuss broke up. The band has been on an indefinite hiatus ever since, and has reached a legendary status - influencing thousands of new young rock bands all over the world.

Last year Garcia toured Europe under the psuedo name “Garcia Plays Kyuss”. Together with Bruno Fevery and two other excellent Dutch musicians. He planned a one-time only tour to play his favorite Kyuss songs live. Mission accomplished. But Garcia was wrong, dead wrong. The demand appeared to be bigger than he originally thought. People loving Kyuss were not your average fans, they were truly apostles! No matter what city or town the band hit, how small the clubs or how big the festivals were, all crowds went nuts. Sheer madhouses’ at every show was guaranteed.
During one of those festivals, Hellfest France to be exact, Nick Oliveri and Brant Bjork spontaneously joined John on stage and the three original Kyuss band members felt something they hadn’t felt in over 20 years. Hard to explain the feeling they felt, but the adrenaline rush they all shared was obvious. It was time to mirror that feeling once again by hooking up in the desert and jamming out. Within a few hours all three had decided to get that Kyuss legacy where it really belongs……..live, and on stage, played straight to the people, for the people, who had never got a chance to see the real deal back in the day. Together with one of the baddest motherfucking guitar players on the planet, a mr. Bruno Fevery. They will be back on the road coming to a town near you to fuck shit up and fuck you up. Consider the rest history. Kyuss lives!
