The Jungle was created around 2000 by Shawn Williamson. Shawn is a producer and an artist for the label. He started out makin the beats on MTV Music Generator for the playstation and soon later advanced to programs like fruityloops for the computer. The Jungle crew has been interested in music for quite some time now but a bunch of bullshit prevented us from gettin shit out when we wanted to.

The planned release for the Jungle Compilation was in 2004 and the recording would be done at IPR (Institution of Production and Recording), but due to financial aid problems and shit, Shawn was kicked out. With that happening, we only finished about 5 tracks for the album. If you are close to us, you probably have heard some of them before (how we raised, fast lane, etc.) but they never really got out. But now we're back! and plan to do it real big! look out for us in the 612.
